[1] The governing body is the Council that consists of one Representative appointed by each Full Member (voting), Affiliate Member, and Corporate Member. It convenes at the triennial International Congress of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine. Between Council meetings, the business of IFCC is conducted by the Executive Board that is elected by the Council. Any important questions that arise between Council meetings, such as the admission of new Full Members to the Federation, approval of recommendations, and changes or amendments of statutes are decided by mail ballot of the Full Member Representatives voting on behalf of their societies.

Bunicul si AndreiThe reality is that, in order to be able to migrate it, we have had to put a significant amount of work into first reconstituting and then re-organizing the structure of the current website, which was unfortunately not provided to us, despite our mutual expectation that would be the case. However, this was the only way to keep the project on track. As you know, Danilo had given us only a folder ('Articoli') with all (or, better said, most of) the HTML pages on the website, with no structure or organization whatsoever, and with a significant number of redundant pages as well.

We have now finished building and reconstituting all the sections within the structure of the current IFCC website.

 

My Edear ElizaThe structure we have finalized has approximately 950 pagesand there are about 300 additional pages which we received but were either redundant or not utilized anywhere in the current IFCC website. In Dropbox, the current structure and HTML pages are in the folder (and sub-folders of). The redundant pages were left in the original'Articoli'folder we received from Danilo, in case IFCC needs to recover or salvage any information from there (that information would not be in the live website currently, possibly because it is outdated,orwould be a duplicate/triplicate of something that is already there).

 

Doi BuniciAlso, some of the pages which are live on the actual IFCC website weren't among the'Articoli'pages, so we have had a good deal of work recreating them and saving them in their proper places in the website structure. Until now, we have recreated over 50 pages, by copying and saving the content with the links and images, most of them in the Congresses and Conferences area, but at least five pages in each of the other sections. The eJIFC (Journal) and the eNewsletter have taken a considerable amount of time and work as we had to search and recover each and every article in these two publications amid a tremendous chaos of files.

It is now easier to understand why Danilo had been so reluctant to give us the website content structured, at least by main section, if not sub-sections. He didn't have them organized, so he knew how much trouble would be involved!

 

As I mentioned, at this point,the entire structure of the IFCC website to be migrated into the new CMS is done, although we still have to recreate the last few volumes of eIFCC Journal and also the articles for the last few issues of the eNewsletter, as they are newer than what was included in the upload from Danilo. You will also have, at some point, to look over material that has been added or changed on the live website since we received the files.
