Terms of Reference
- To define appropriate operating procedures to perform quantitative mass spectrometry analyses for peptides and proteins from biological fluids.
- To evaluate the specification and the need for reference materials for quantitative proteomics applied to clinical biology.
- To design of a Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Program and to select a small series of analytes to be thesubject of a future multi-site validation study.
- To test the implementation in clinical laboratories of quantitative mass spectrometry analyses for peptides and proteins, using the examples of hepcidin and apolipoproteins.
Current Projects
- Evaluate different procedures to collect, fractionate/enzymatic digest biological samples prior to quantitative mass spectrometry analysis.
- Evaluate the multi-site implementation of different quantitative mass spectrometry analysis including: the detection of hepcidin and the multiplex detection of proteins in blood, with a specific focus on apolipoproteins.
- Coordination with other proteomics intiatives (HUPO/EuPA, FP7.. ) in particular regarding mass spectrometry based quantitative assays.
